Who we are

The Hawks - a specialized unit of Unmanned Aviation Systems within the Defense Forces.

The unit was created in 2022 and performs the full spectrum of reconnaissance, additional reconnaissance, target detection, and destruction tasks across the entire front line. The Hawks have participated in most tactical operations conducted by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in 2023 in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.

Today, we are one of the most effective UAV units in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Our experience and implementation of new technological solutions aim to reduce risks for our fighters. Thanks to the latest UAV developments and professionalism, we are bringing Ukraine closer to victory every day.

Our Commander

Lieutenant Colonel Andriy "Atlas" Sukhyn

An officer of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, business owner, and public figure. Graduated from Kharkiv Military University (Faculty of Missile Forces Units Application) and Kyiv National Economic University. Continuing his studies at the National Defense University of Ukraine on the operational-level joint staff course (L3).

In the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 1997. Participated in peacekeeping operations in Iraq. After that, continued service in the Command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. In 2007, he left the military and worked in a logistics company. In 2017, he founded his own business.

ДоBefore the full-scale invasion, he actively participated in public and volunteer activities.

In the early days of the full-scale invasion, he rejoined the military. In November 2022, he became the commander of the newly formed 411th Separate UAV Battalion The Hawks, which performs the full spectrum of reconnaissance, additional reconnaissance, target detection, and destruction tasks across the entire front line.

The Hawks have participated in most tactical operations conducted by the Ukrainian Defense Forces in 2023-2024 in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.
